Airport Lounges: holy crap this is nice
For my birthday Mathews mom got me two one time access to the United Club lounge, and so I got to the airport early and beelined it for the lounge. They were serving breakfast which was great since I didn’t wake up early enough to eat breakfast. It was like a typical hotel breakfast with eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, and hot drinks. It is so peaceful in here, a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the main terminal. They even have a United specific flight board and announce the status of the United flights. In order to enter the lounge you have to have a United ticket. I was here long enough for lunch to be served, and they had sandwiches, soup, salad, and some snacks including pita chips and hummus, wasabi peas, and corn nuts. They also have a bar that serves some complimentary drinks. The lounge was across from my gate, so I had no trouble making the most of the lounge and got to the gate with plenty of time to board!
